Hi, I’m Jacq and I’ve Never Been Just One Thing
If you’re here, you’re probably trying to figure out what exactly I do.
Honestly… I’ve been trying to figure that out my entire life too.
Some days I’m a writer untangling life, productivity, and relationships. Some days I’m a gamer hurling digital grenades at my friends for fun. Most days, I’m a multipassionate human trying to build something meaningful without losing my sanity in the process.
How I Ended Up Here
I’ve been on the internet long enough to remember glittery blog headers, tagboards, and obsessively checking who my “Top Commenters” were.
I started blogging in the mid-2000s, moved to my own domain around 2009, and basically learned everything the hard way which, apparently, is my favourite learning style.
My career path has had more plot twists than a K-drama.
I’ve gone from corporate training… to design… to running my own business… to creating content across way too many platforms. Not because I’m particularly brave, mostly because I enjoy breathing more than burnout.
These days I juggle blogging, streaming on Twitch, creating content across multiple platforms, and editing gaming videos for YouTube.
You know… the usual solopreneur starter pack.
The Multipassionate Life
If there’s one label I wear proudly, it’s multipassionate.
Some people pick one lane and stay there. My brain prefers running twelve tabs at the same time.
I tried the “just focus on one niche” advice once. It didn’t work, and it made me miserable. So now I follow curiosity instead.
I learn on the go (thank you, YouTube University), experiment obsessively, and build projects the same way I explore open-world games: press buttons, break things, fix things, and repeat.
Surprisingly… it works.
A Little Bit of My Roots
I’m Malaysian, and English isn’t my first language.
I still trip over grammar sometimes, but I’d rather write imperfectly than stay quiet. Life’s too short to wait for perfect sentences.
The internet has also played a huge role in shaping my life. Some of the most important people I’ve met started as usernames on a screen — including a close friend I eventually flew across continents to meet.
These days, being part of online communities and streaming regularly has given me a front-row seat to the strange, fascinating world of digital relationships. The internet can bring out the best in people… and sometimes the weirdest parts too.
It’s taught me a lot about connection, boundaries, parasocial dynamics, and what it means to build real community in a digital space.
In a very weird but very real way, the internet raised me.
Off-Screen Life
Off-screen, I’m a dog mom to two tiny tyrants disguised as Schnauzers. Sadly, one of them has already passed as of December 2025.
I watch football when the mood strikes (YNWA!). And my definition of family is simple:
The people who choose you, not just the ones you’re related to.
What You’ll Find Here
My writing here is a blend of all the parts of me; the reflective, the curious, and occasionally the slightly unhinged.
Expect things like:
The psychology of how we think and why we make the decisions we do. Occasionally paired with attempts to unmess our lives. Fair warning: I don’t always practice what I preach.
Notes on solopreneurship and content creation. The behind-the-scenes chaos of running a one-woman creative ecosystem on the internet.
Humor and everyday absurdities. Observations about adulting, creator frustrations, weird internet culture, and the kind of comedic mischief that makes life feel a little lighter.
Gaming reflections. Insights from the games I love, the NPCs who test my patience, and the questionable decisions I make in open worlds.
Short fiction from Unwritten Ends. Stories where imagination goes to stretch… and occasionally make terrible life choices.
If you enjoy honest reflections, curious thinking, gaming metaphors, or the messy beauty of a multipassionate life… welcome.
You’ve found me.
Where Else You Can Find Me
YouTube: gameplays, some guides, and playful moments.
Twitch: gameplays, just chatting and hanging out.
Podcast – Jacq of All Trades: deeper conversations, unfiltered thoughts, and the tangents that never make it into my articles.
Everything I create connects back to the same goal: to explore, to learn, and to make things that help people or at the very least, entertain them.
