Not everyone’s a designer but I believe everyone can be creative. With a good eye, catchy ideas, and some free tools, you can generate residual income by selling your designs on Print on Demand (POD) websites.

I’ve tried selling my designs via POD websites as well as printing them for sale on my own. After trying out both, I decided I’m going to stick to POD websites because they basically take care of everything. Although we make lesser as compared to selling the merchandise on our own, the hassle of sourcing for reliable suppliers and printers, then having to promote the items is just too much work for me as a solopreneur. I rather focus on doing what I love which is the idea generation and designing part.

What Is Print-on-Demand (POD)?

POD websites let you upload your artwork or slogan, choose the products you want it on (think T-shirts, mugs, stickers, even shower curtains), and they handle everything else from production to shipping to customer service.

You get a cut of the profit when someone buys. That’s it. No need to buy stock or deal with cranky customers asking why their tote bag smells weird (yeah it happened to me.)
